Portfolio Project: NHK

Description

NHK was a project developed for the accounting department of a TV channel in Japan. The system was designed to manage assets such as cameras, speakers, and screens while calculating all business-related costs.

The project was divided into two phases:

  • Phase 1: Documentation

  • Created basic design and detailed design documents based on client requirements.

  • In the initial phase, I took approximately two weeks per screen to create documentation due to the lack of existing documents. However, after we implemented process improvements through Kaizen meetings, we leveraged standardized templates and past experience, reducing the time to one week for two screens.

  • Phase 2: Implementation

  • I assisted backend developers in analyzing the database, identifying duplicate or unnecessary tables as well as missing tables. Based on my findings, I created change requests and reported them to the project manager, ensuring that both the development team and documentation team could work together on the necessary database updates.

  • To meet project requirements, I participated in internal training on PowerApps development. Using the skills I gained, I developed the key main screens of the system.
